F A Q... Frequently Ask Questions
Q. HOW SHOULD I PAY WHEN ORDERING FROM THIS WEBSITE?
A. When ordering from this site you should receive a "Purchase Order" in the email address you used when ordering.... From that "Purchase Order", I will verify as best I can the availability of your request and send you an Invoice Via postal mail. Your invoice may include shipping charges unless you prefer to pick up your order at our Nursery location. Please pay by (good) check or money order after you have received the Invoice. I will include mailing labels for your return mail.
Q. WHEN WILL MY VINES OR CUTTINGS BE SHIPPED?
A. You will need to set your preferred ship date. Normal shipping months are Feb., March and April. I can keep your vines or cuttings in cold storage at our facility at no charge to you until May 1st if you wish. Some customers set the shipping date when ordering...others prefer to wait until Spring to set a shipping date. Just let us know which works best for your planting needs.
Q. DO YOU HAVE A MINIMUM ORDER?
A. No.... You may order any quantity you wish. However, There is a handling fee of $10.00 for an order of each cultivar of less than 50 vines. EXAMPLE: If you wish to purchase 4 Chardonel Vines, 35 Frontenac Vines and 51 Chambourcin Vines, there would be a handling fee of $10.00 for less than a full bundle of (4) Chardonel, and a handling fee of $10.00 for less than a full bundle of (35) Frontenac for a total of $20.00 Handling. (There is no handling costs for more than a full bundle of the (51) Chambourcin.)
Q. EXPLAIN THE WINTER HARDINESS RATING ON YOUR WEBSITE.
A. The cultivars are rated by Universities etc. using a scale of 1 to 6...with 1 being the least Winter hardy and 6 the most Winter hardy. THESE RATINGS ARE NOT RELATED TO WEATHER ZONE CHARTS.
Q. EXPLAIN THE DISEASE RATINGS ON YOUR WEBSITE.
A. The cultivars are rated by Universities etc. using +++. With (one) + being less susceptible to a disease than a cultivar with (three) +++.
Q. HOW DO THE DISCOUNTS WORK?
A. Discounts apply to orders over 100 vines. There is a 10% discount for early orders paid before Dec. 1st. There is a quantity discount of 1% per 100 vines. Maximum total combined discounts up to 25% off of listed price.
